Assignment #1: Week 3 Socratic Seminar
About
What made this assignment the most difficult for me and how did I overcome it?
In the first Socratic seminar we did in ENGL-1301, I struggled. The whole idea of the Socratic seminar was confusing to me and didn't make sense. I ended up picking a topic I was passionate about and a topic that was seen as controversial. The topic a picked was transgenders in collegiate sports. Once I got over the hump of stepping outside my comfort zone and opening up in class, I found the next big struggle I ran into which was, being completely open to hearing and understanding other people's views and opinions. It was also I struggle for me to grow an understanding that at the end of these Socratic seminars, we weren't going to come to a final sense and that the seminars are used to grow a further understanding of different topics and learn how to hear others out and learn from peers instead of arguing just because we didn't agree on different topics.

How did this experience help me grow?
Going into this assignment I was fully set that AI was negative and I didn't think that AI could be beneficial at all. This assignment helped me grow my idea that AI can be used in a good way. This assignment was the beginning of my knowledge of AI usage and helped me grow my knowledge of how AI is used and how it can be beneficial in everyday life.
Assignment #3: week 8 Podcast Research
If I were to do this experience/assignment again, what would I do differently and why?
If I were to go back and do the podcast research again, I would pick a different topic that I and my partner didn't agree on. The issue me and my partner found with the topic we choice we found it difficult to argue the opposing side because we both had the same viewpoint.

How has this activity introduced a concept or topic I wish we could have continued to learn more about?
For our week 4 notes I was introduced to rhetoric, I thought learning rhetoric was something I enjoyed and wished we talked more about because rhotic isn't only applied in the classroom it also can be very easily applied to everyday life

What skills did this experience/assignment allow me to practice that I plan on using in other areas of my life?
This project taught me the importance and the difference between tone of voice and how different professional tones and casual tones makes a difference.
